Can a $300 M1 MacBook Air Still Handle Professional Video Work in 2026?

I tested a $300 base-model M1 MacBook Air by using it as my only work machine for a full professional edit day in 2026. Not benchmarks—real admin work, real 6K client footage, real delivery constraints. It didn’t replace my primary machine, but it also didn’t fail.
